Official Offices to Contact

The established Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office contact page lists the administration and civil-process office at 12 Water Street, P.O. Box 337, Camden, AL 36726-0337. Its main line is (334) 682-4715 and fax is (334) 682-9425. Posted business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding weekends and holidays. It lists detention at (334) 682-9394 and booking at (334) 682-5644. A newer-looking Sheriff domain publishes conflicting contacts, so verify the active line through the main office before relying on any booking number. No county fee schedule or fixed response time was found. Ask the custodian for the current cost and turnaround.

Choose the office by the kind of answer needed:

  • For a recent booking, photo, or historical jail record, start with the Sheriff and use the county arrest-record path. Give your name and contact details, confirm Alabama residency if requested, identify the person, date, and arresting agency, name the record and format sought, state willingness to pay a lawful charge, and request a written reason plus all public portions if anything is withheld.
  • For current custody at Prince Arnold Detention Center, call the verified detention or booking line. A charge is an accusation, and only a court can determine guilt.
  • For a Camden or Pine Hill incident report, contact the city police department that made the arrest. Yellow Bluff has no separate police department documented in the research, so begin with the Sheriff.
  • For case filings or disposition, contact the Wilcox County Circuit Clerk at P.O. Box 608, 12 Water Street Suite 304, Camden, AL 36726, (334) 682-4126. Posted hours are weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with lunch from noon to 1:00 p.m.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use the Alabama Department of Corrections offender search. Its process is separate from county bookings.
  • For federal custody, use the Bureau of Prisons locator. For immigration custody, use the ICE detainee locator.

An official custodian decides whether a record is public, what must be redacted, and what fee applies. These contact details are informational and are not legal advice.
